TPS25820: Functional Test TD 4.11.2 Sink Dead Battery Test

Hi PD-team,

My customer would like to confirm TPS25820/1 support dead battery test.

Regarding to the datasheet, It seems they doesn't support it  comparing TPS65988 datasheet.

if not, Is there any solution for it like using extra component?

and if they must to pass the test, What type-c controller is suitable for them?

    The TPS25820/1 is a USB-C source only device. Dead battery functionality is a feature that is supported by a sink device. If they are looking for a device that does Dual Role Power (Power Source and Sink) we would recommend they look at the TPS65987 or TPS25750 family of devices.

    so I understood TD 4.11.2 Sink Dead Battery Test is a test for sink and DRP controller.

    If they still have any question or need DRP controller, I'll get back to you.
