BQ27500-V130: bq Evaluation Software - Callibration Procedure Error

Hello,

I am trying to create a golden image for my battery management PCB. I am using a BQ27500DRZT-V130.

I use the bqEASY tab and I successfully do the 1. Setup and 2. Configure.

When I try to do the calibrate step I face the following issue: "Failed board offset calibration. Error code =10. Please see attached image 1.

Then I try to press the Calibrate part as indicated below and I get the message that I can't enter the calibration mode. See image 2. This is the same for the Voltage, Temperature and Pack current calibration.

Please advice.

Hello,

Check if the gauge is in sealed mode. Calibration must be performed in full access mode.

Hello,

since FAS and SS are green I understand full access mode is the mode I am in.

I followed the bqEASY steps 1 and 2. And now on 3. I opened the Calibrate tab. But I don't seem to be able to enter calibration mode.

When you open the calibration tab, does Err_Rd show up for the measured values or do you see valid values?

Hello Shirish,

I have a screenshot on my initial post.

It indicates Err_Rd. Reading values with the DATA_RAM and the DATA Flash is no problem though.

Hello,

If the measured values are not being read, then there may be something wrong with the installation. You can try uninstalling bqEVSW, deleting the install folder and then reinstalling bqEVSW

So, I uninstalled the bq Gas Gauge Evaluation Software and deleted all the files : C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\bq Evaluation Software. I did a restart.

Then I installed: 1. sluc291 EV2400_Support_Components_20110524.exe, 2. sluc706 EV2400Updater-0.32-windows-installer.exe , sluc367c 3.bqEVSWSetup00.09.92_bq275xx_bq27620_ALL_2013_03_05.exe.

And now I can see the measured values in the calibration screen!
