BQ40Z50: How to keep RSoC constant

Hi,

For the BQ40z50 fuel gauge, I would like to keep the RSoC value forcefully constant irrespective of charging or discharging for test purposes.

Is there any way to do this?

Hello Abhijith,

The gauge is not designed to be used this way. You could modify the host to read a different register to simulate RSOC being constant

ok, What will be the consequence of disabling the gas gauging in fuel gauge? how the RSoC will be affected?

Hello Abhijith,

The RSOC is not guaranteed to stay the same even if Impedance track is disabled.
