MPPT design

Hiii,

I'm working on a MPPT (boost converter) for charging a (48 V) battery with sweep capability.
The boost converter is controlled with a microcontroller and an IR2104 (Single PWM signal)

Unfortunately I am stuck with the following problem:
If I connect a battery directly to my MPPT (Boost converter) then the output voltage is equal to the battery voltage.
The problem lies in the control of the duty cycle.
If you do a duty cycle of 20% at a voltage of 20V, you will arrive at an output voltage of 25V.
The battery voltage is therefore higher and will actually supply power to the solar panel.
So this is impossible.

But how can I perform a sweep with a boost converter in combination with a battery.
And how do I determine the minimum duty cycle with the P&O algorithm
