Hello, can these two parts (LP2951C, LP4951C) be utilized interchangeably?
I was not sure if LP4951C is unstable with ceramic low ESR output capacitors unlike the LP2951C, or any other difference.
Thank you for your help!

Hi Alex,
As far as I can tell, the LP4951C has very similar requirements for input/output capacitance and other ratings but the datasheet does not specify what the minimum ESR requirement is for the output cap. Unfortunately we don't have more information for these old legacy devices than what is in the datasheet. Are you looking for a P2P replacement for LP2951C?
Regards,
Nick
Thank you Nick! You are correct; I'm Looking for a substitute for LP2951CMX/NOPB due to an order being overdue.
Also noticed these:
As long as I leave the SENSE and VTAP pins no-connect, I see I can adjust the voltage via feedback resistor tap to the FEEDBACK pin, so the 'fixed voltage' wouldn't matter. Both BOMs would utilize the adjustable regulator to drop in.
Any concerns on the substitution?
Thank you!
Alex
Thank you very kindly for your support Nick, and for all the great products from TI.
