Connection between digital ground and chassis ground

What is the appropriate method for establishing a connection between digital ground and chassis ground (also known as earth ground)?

As I know, in electronic circuits, it is important to have a well-defined grounding system to ensure proper operation and to reduce noise and electrical hazards. can I Connect the digital ground of a device to the chassis ground (also known as earth ground) directly? should The metal surface be a solid and continuous connection to the earth's ground via an external power supply without any issue? Also, The digital ground and the chassis ground should not be connected at multiple points, as this can create a ground loop, which can cause problems such as increased noise and decreased system performance. So is there any way to know what components should I use to ensure the digital ground is properly connected to the chassis ground? (i.e. capacitors, load resistors, coils, etc.)
