Hi TI,

I would like to know design tolerance of my constant current circuit.

I only know how to run a worst case with tolerance of resistor.

Is IC model set with typical or ideal value?

How can I get worst case result with tolerance of resistor and TPS92692?

Hello Sky,

In general the tolerance of the output current will be about +/-4% as stated in the beginning of the data sheet if you follow the design guideline. This was part of our design verification process.

Hi Tran,

1. I think +/-4% is calculated from current sense thresholds, is that correct?

2. If I take tolerance of VREF, RADJ1, RADJ2 and RCS into account, will the result be the same?

3. Customer ask us to do WCCA (worst case) report by simulation, so I would like to know how to get the answer by simulation instead of calculation.

Sky,

You can proceed to do that with the tolerances as you mentioned with calculations and that's the best way for you to support the customer's request. However, not all specification are worse cases at the same time.
