BQ77216: VOUT_AH

Part Number: BQ77216

Please explain VOOUT_AH in BQ7721603.

1. Am I correct in understanding that VOUT_AH is the High level voltage of VDOUT and VCOUT?
2. Row 1: Is there an upper limit to the output voltage? (Min: 6V)
3. Row 2: What is intended by "VDD - VCOUT or VDOUT" in TEST CONDITION?
I assume it is a table showing the voltages at VCOUT and VDOUT.
Is it like this when 10uA or more is applied?
Min 0V means that there is no output?
4. Row 3: Is this for 1-Cell only?
Is it like when you flow more than 100uA?
Min 0V means that it may not output?

Regards,
Kagawa

  • Hi,

    Please see the answers below:

1 Yes. Depending on the output option, active high 6V VCOUT VDOUT are outputting 6V, active high Vdd are outputting VDD level.

    2 yes around 7V.

    3. The Vdd - Vcout or Vdout is the headroom from Vdd for the VCOUT VDOUT output level of that option.

    4. Again this is the headroom from Vdd. i.e. if 0 V, it means the VCOUT VDOUT are outputting the exact voltage of Vdd. Some headroom is needed so typical is 1V from Vdd.

  • Hello Xiaodong-san,

    Thank you for your answer.

How is the output option set?

  • Hello Kagawa-san,

This is set in the factory. You can see the currently released parts in Section 6 Device Comparison Table of the datasheet.

There is currently no Active High VDD parts released.
