TPS536C7: Disable Unused Phase

Hi expert,

Customer used TPS536C7 and CSD95490 as 1ch, 12phase config. During the test and rework, they somehow damage the 12th phase inductor path and wondering how to change to 11phase via GUI as debug purpose to power up pcb still.

Here are the steps customer did however there is no output. Could you please advise how to do it correctly?

1. change ON/OFF control to OPERATION only to disable controller first.

2. phase the phase config from 12 to 11 and disable PWM12

3. turn on controller.

Hi Allan,
That looks good to me. Did they write to hardware and also store to config afterwards?

This is also assuming that each of the phase number on the board coordinate with the phase number on the GUI.

Hi Ryan:
Here is HW RD of ALPHA, Andy. We've already make sure we write to hardware and also store to config after we change the configuration.
Please help to advice ALPHA the other debug solution, thanks.

Hi Andy,

Are you saying you no longer are able to get any output?

After storing to config, I would cycle power to the device and also change configuration to control pin, and then back to operation mode and toggle it on.

If this doesn't work, I would try enabling only 10 phases and seeing if that has output.
