LM5022: The difference between LM5022 and LM5022-Q1

Part Number: LM5022

Hi Team,

Is there a difference in the upper limit of the switching frequency setting between the vehicle specification and the industrial specification material of LM5022?

Why is there a difference in switching frequency? Besides the switching frequency, are there other functions that are different between the two? Thanks.

Regards,

Charlie

  • Hi Charlie,

Thanks for using the e2e forum.

Both LM5022 and LM5022-Q1 have the same range of frequency setting from 200 to 2200KHz.
The main difference between devices is application type of industrial or automotive, like you already mentioned. The Q1 device is rated for automotive applications, which requires AEC-Q100 qualification.

The functionality and features of both parts should be identical.
This means you can increase the Fsw of LM5022 to 2200kHz as well,
even if there is no explicit test entry line with min/max values for RT of 6.65kOhms given in the datasheet.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

    Best regards,
    Niklas
