UCC28070: Current Sensing Scheme

Part Number: UCC28070

Hello,

I am using UCC28070A for Interleaved PFC design. Regarding that, I want to be sure that if i use combination of shunt resistor and current sense amplifier instead of CT and sense resistor combo as shown in simplified application diagram in datasheet of UCC28070. Similarly, UCC28070 300-W Interleaved PFC Pre-Regulator reference Design document SLUA479B is also showing the same arrangement. However, I don't think it is necessary to use the same current sensing scheme as used in the above documents.

Can you please confirm using different current sensing scheme is not going to affect PFC controller performance in any way?

Thanks,

Jasvant Singh
