LM3489: Is current source controllerable by user?

Part Number: LM3489
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM27313

Hello, Forum

Am I able to control the current value from the current source in the LM27313 ? If so, how?

I want to make it clear because there are some different constant values in the DATA Sheet, such as 5.5uA or 3uA as minimum.

I will be thankful, if I could get a clear answer.

Regards,

Kyungmo

  • Hi Kyungmo,

Looking through your reply on the original E2E thread, it looks like you are asking about the internal current source on the ADJ pin which is used in the external sense resistor circuit for Figure 23.

This current source is not something that can be controlled as this is internal to the device and is used to provide a voltage differential across the RADJ resistor. The VADJ voltage is than compared to the VSENSE voltage to create a current sensing circuit.
