TPS61253A: How to understand Quiescent current into VIN pin and Quiescent current into VOUT pin

Hi Team,

How do I understand "Quiescent current into VIN pin"? I noted the Vin voltage is 3.6V, and EN equal to Vin, personal think chip work on boost mode. I curious how to let chip SWITCH enter into OFF? How can I verify on EVK or target board? Thanks.

Hi Eric,

In our lab or fab, we have test mode to test iq, this test mode is only we can visit and not open to customer.

In EVM, I think you can just connect FB to VIN to make devices not switching.

Well noted, Nanthan. Yeah, when I learning datasheet and check schematic, I'm curious how do it in end customer test. Thanks for your clarifications.

Hi Eric,

Customer can try to add 3.6V at VIN pin, and 5.1V (a little higher than 5V) at VOUT, then set EN pin high, and PFM mode. By this way, TPS61253A will not switching.
