LM3478: Is it possible to use Vin 24V, Vout 300V Iout 0.1A

Dear Specialists,

My customer is considering 24Vin, 300Vout and Iout 0.1A in boost application.

At this time, they use LT3757 in boost, they' d like to use boost unchangingly.

LM3478 and LM3488 could operate 100% duty.

Are these possible to use this condition?

Could you please provide reference design?

    Thanks for using the e2e forum.

    LM3478 and LM3488 can indeed achieve high boost rating due to 100% max duty cycle,
    however, I could not find any reference designs for a 300V/30W output.

    I see no restrictions for these specs within the datasheet, but the inductor might get very large.

    The PMP10077 design shows a boost with 200V/2W output, but the power requirements are far smaller.

    Does the customer need a boost topology, or would it also be possible to use e.g. a flyback?

    I understand LM3478 and LM3488 could be used for 24Vin and 300Vout boost.

    I'll share this and PMP10077 with the customer.

    At this time, the customer'd like to use boost topology continuously because this is already used for existing design.
