Hi,

Looking for battery management chip that suits for 6500mAh battery of 3.7V. We need both the AC adapter and USB charging device. The charging current through the AC adapter may be around 2A. Could some one please suggest the chip for this application?. The application would be for one of the multimedia device.

Hello Tahar,

Thanks for the mail. I went through the part suggested. I feel the specification would not match our requirements.

I was looking at BQ24170/2 part. Our application would be for Tablet. But BQ24170/2 doesnot have the facility for the USB charging.

Could you please suggest us the other part which suits our requirements?

Hi Xellcom,

Your requirements are:

Battery: 3.7V 6.5Ah
AC adapter + USB
AC adapter current is 2A

We have bq24160 that is coming soon. It support two input source USB and Adapter and up to 2.5A charge current. This part is coming up this quarter and samples will be available in few weeks.
