Hi Dear,

As shown in the figure, the LM5013 evaluation board schematic diagram shows that there is a 33uf capacitor at the input port. 

In LM5013 datasheet, the typical circuit is shown in the figure below.The input port has only two 2.2uf capacitors

So What is the function of this capacitor of 33uF and whether it can be removed?

    Hi Anna,

    Thank you for posting.  The 33uF is an Electrolytic capacitor and it is used to help damp out the resonance between L3 and C8//C9. The datasheet example schematic just have the core dc/dc stage without include an input EMI filter inductor, so no need of the Electrolytic capacitor.
