Hi Wyatt,

I need to apply safety compliance for the battery management system including the bq40z80

The chip should apply safety requirements according EN 60335-1 annex R table R1

One of the requirements is that the chip memory should perform periodic self-test so any issue over the memory register will be identified

can you pls explain how it perform over he different type of memories, registers on the chip

Only general ones 

If t has any safety certifications like IEC 60730 class B, IEC 60355-1, IEC 61508, ISO 26262 or other, pls share it

The only certifications we have available would be on the TI.com product page, we do not do IEC certifications for the gauges.
