UCC27714: Unusual gate pulse on LLC resonant converter

Part Number: UCC27714

Hii,

I am using UCC27714 for gate drive application in LLC resonant converter. Why is there a spike on High side pulse waveform before the high side pulse turns on???

1) Vgs(Green) & Vds(Blue) of top side Mosfet

2) Vgs(Yellow) , Vds(Blue)  of low side Mosfet & Vgs(Green) of high side mosfet.

  • Hello Biswaljit,

Can you record the scope waveforms of the LI and HI driver input signals (with VSS as ground reference) as close to the UCC27714 pins as possible? It is possible there may be high frequency noise on the driver inputs which can cause false triggering if excessive in amplitude. Also can you provide a schematic of the driver and Mosfet power train for reference? If there is an R/C filter on the input pins of the driver, you can try increasing the R/C time constant to see if that helps.

    Regards,
