UC2625 DC Motor Controller

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC2625

Hi,

We are using DC Motor Controller UC2625.

Some times when we are testing the system we got measured high current pulse on feedback Rs (R15=0.02ohm) resistor that connected between pins ISENSE1 and ISENSE2  (see document attached), the point is that pulse happen when no motor speed or no any command from main CPU where send and no motor movement where detected.

When the current spike measured on Rs (R15), the motor driver circuit UC2625 stop to control the motor and stop all functionality, the Commands from the CPU to controller don’t make him to start working again.

Hi Current pulse, Change motor theta angel

kkk

Wrong Hi Current pulse, have no effect on motor & stuck controller workflow

Command to Change Theta angel of Motor1, no effect on US2625 controller

Motor controller UC2625 is stuck after wrong current pulse

We also see then the current spike doesn’t flow through motor coils, because the angle theta doesn’t change.

It’s seems like the current pulse pass through one of the P-Channel FETs (Q15, Q13, Q11) to N-Channel FET (Q16, Q14, Q12) and was measured on Rs(R15 0.02ohm), see figure 1 in doc attached.

Please advice what cause to UC2625 controller open both high side P-Channel and Low side N-Channel MosFETs together?

Why UC2625 switched off and not returned to normal functionality again, like it described in datasheets?

What can I more check in order to isolate the problem?

Advice if you know why it’s can happen and maybe how cause to this problem happen sequentially, in order to understand what exactly cause to this problem ?

Thanks and best regards

Roman Inzelbuh.
