2:1 SPDT analog switch recommendation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3A24159, SN74LVC1G3157

Hi team,

Do we have any 2:1 SPDT analog switch that can support below conditions?

Condition:

Iout max = 200mA

Height <= 0.35mm

My customer wants to use it in camera modules so they need a super low height device. Better if support I2C. Thanks.

Best Regards,

Peter

  • Hi Peter,

To clarify, are you wanting a mux that can drive 200mA current or a mux that can handle 200mA continuous current? Our group handles passive muxes that do not drive current, so I just want to clarify before I either suggest a part or move this thread to the appropriate group.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Alex,

I want a mux that can handle 200mA continuous current.

  • Hi Peter,

So, if you want a mux that can handle 200mA continuous current, then we have to make a tradeoff with package size. The lowest I see we have is 0.5mm height (DSBGA package) for devices that can handle 200mA. We have the X2SON package which is 0.35mm in height, but these devices don't go beyond 200MA in continuous current.

If max continuous current is more important, then I recommend the TS3A24159 here. This is rated at 300mA with 0.5mm height in the DSBGA package. If package height is more important, the SN74LVC1G3157 comes in a X2SON package at 0.35mm height but is only rated to 128mA max continuous current.

Take a look at the voltage ranges for these and let me know if these work for you!

    Thanks!

    Alex
