TPS53676: programming

Part Number: TPS53676

Hi experts,

Is it possible to program the TPS53676 by I2C tools in production? How to config it? Do you have an instruction how to convert the file from XML format to the I2C data needed? Thank you.

  • Hi,

We will check this & let you know in next 2 days.

  • Hi, Lily,

We have FUSION_MFR_GUI which many customers use in production. And no, we don't have instruction of how to convert the xml file to I2C data.

  • Hi Anne Ngo,

    Thank you for your reply.

There are some other I2C components on the board should be programmed too, and we have the program tool already. So We would like to keep it simple in the production.

But when I scan the bus, only 0x0C and 0x37 are detected.

I think these are the reserved addressed for SMBUS. Could you have some advice that why the read address of TPS53676 is not found?

In fact, TPS53676 can be detect by TI USB Interface Adaptor tool in Fusion SW.

    Lily

  • Hi, Lily

Address 0x0C is reserved as defined in PMBus Specification. Address 0x5F is reserved as defined in PMBus 1.3 Specification. Fusion GUI can detect device at address 0x5F. Since you use your own programming tool, you will need to check your tool to see if your tool can detect for devices at address other than 0x37.
