Hi Team,

Which thermal metric should be selected as the 2-Resistor Model in Flotherm,Rjb or Rjc(bot)？

Should the solder be created in the thermal Model between PCB and Compound if the Rjc(bot) is selected?

Hello Hai,

For the two-resistor model, use the junction-to-board thermal resistance RθJB and the junction-to-case (top) RθJC(top) found in the datasheet.

Hello Hai,

If you are using the thermal pad, you will need to use a DELPHI model for the most accurate results since it can model both the leads (RθJB) and the thermal pad (RθJC(bot)). If you want to use the 2-resistor model, use the RθJB for a more conservative estimate of thermal performance.
