Part Number: UCC28950

Dear TI team,

I am looking for analog solution for below application:

Input voltage: 12 V
Output Voltage: 200 V to 1000 V
Output Power: 200 W
Application: Unidirectional

I would like to know if UCC28950 can be used for this application which has very wide gain requirement?

If you have any suggestions for this application, please let me know.

Hello,

The UCC28950/1 devices were not design for bidirectional operation.

There is a digital solution for a bidirectional design using Piccolo F2802. You can find information about this at the following link.

Thanks a lot for your quick response.

My application is unidirectional, can you please suggest if UCC28950/1 can cover wide range of output voltage varying from 200 V to 1000 V.

Weather going for tap changing transformer is suggested ?

Hello,

The UCC28950/1 is not designed to handle a unidirectional design.

I was suggesting you with the Piccolo design if your were looking to a unidirectional design.

Hi Mike,

I really appreciate your quick response, But, I am confused now.

In second response you are saying "The UCC28950/1 is not designed to handle a unidirectional design"

Kindly clarify on this.
