TPS65987D: Getting started: Tools for flashing/debugging

Part Number: TPS65987D

Hi all,

I'd like to implement the TPS65987D into a custom PCB I am designing and am looking for advice on getting started.
Would someone be able to recommend the specific programming/debug tools I would need? Ideally I would like to:

  • Be able to flash the binary generated to the SPI flash module I am using (what kind of generic SPI programmer can be used for the MX25L8006EM1I-12G (i.e the SPI flash used in the EVM).
  • Be able to read back the current register status/parameters written to the device via the TPS659xx Application Customization Tool to verify a working board

I have already implemented the schematic and routed all of the required pins.
I plan on not using the i2c interface but instead loading the SPI binary into flash ROM memory.

Sorry for the basic questions, hope I could receive some advice here.

Kind regards,
Benjamin
