TPS61235P: Boost converter shuts of at 1.2A, below the described capability in the spec sheet

Part Number: TPS61235P

Using the schematic layout for the TPS61236 EMV board replacing the inductor from the spec sheet, SPM6530T-1R0M120, and using a TPS61235P without the voltage setting 1M and 332k resistors

The boost converter is shutting off at 1.18A with ~5.1V output voltage

I have the EVM module and it does not shut off at 1.18A, so I am confused as to why this is happening

Hi Evan,

Do you mean that you want to set the output current limit to 1.18A? If that, you need to add a resistor on CC pin with the equations before, thanks.

Hello Nathan,

I want to output the max amps, ~3A. I am not using the CC mode.

For some reason my schematic is shutting off at 1.2A without being in CC mode

What do you mean "shutting off"? What is the behavior of TPS61235P with this condition?
