Hi,

Customer would like to know the SS time tolerance so they need SS current max and min value, could you please provide for below devices?

TPS54J060/61,TPS548A28/A29,TPS548B28.

Hi Jim,

Regarding the TPS54J060, for the vast majority of the cases the current is in the range of 9 uA +/- 0.6 uA.
But in some rare cases, the current may be between 7.2 uA to 10.6 uA.

TPS548A28/A29 31.7uA to 41uA with a typical of 36uA

Hi Daniels,

We tested soft start on TPS548A28 EVM but got fail result, please see below report.

We tried SS Cap 1nF and 220nF, the SS time is faster then calculated.

I would like to know what's the tolerance (min and max spec) of SS time?

Should the SS time tolerance go with SS current?

For example, I use SS Cap=220nF and SS current max=41uA to calculate SS time min spec will get 3.2195ms.

But the test result in report is 2.84ms which is less than min spec 3.2195ms.

My question is how to judge SS time is in spec or not? And what is max and min spec for SS time?

The scope plots are measuring from the 0 to 90%. The calculation is assuming 0 to 100%. The error is measurement method
