BQ34Z100-G1: BQ34Z-100-G1 FCC keep 0

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34Z100

Hi

The customer design with system side, BQ34Z100-G1, they have got the CHEM ID, and generated the Gold image.

But after plugging in the battery, the SOC shows 0%, and after RESET, the SOC shows 100%, and it takes a long time for the SOC to drop. After the SOC starts to drop, it is relatively accurate.

After replacing the battery, the SOC is still 0%, but the voltage and current display is accurate.

Replaced with a new chip and reprogrammed the srec then performed RESET, IT_ENABLE, SEALED, but the phenomenon is still the same.

Attached the .gg file.

Please give some suggestions.

Thanks

  •     It could be caused by a surge current when the battery is inserted into the system, the voltage could be pulled low upon plug in, and gauge samples a low voltage, when sending the reset command, the voltage is stabilized, then the SOC could be relatively accurate.

bq34z100 is not a system side gauge, a reset and a VCT followed by a long relax is required to synchronize the capacity
