TPS61322: Is Schottky Diode needed for 300 mA current while using Li-Po (3.7V) battery

Hi,

I am using TPS613222ADBVT to convert the battery voltage (3.2 - 4.2 V/3.7V Nominal) to 5V. The max current requirement is 300 mA. Do I need to add an external Schottky diode for this?

Is yes please suggest what are all the parameters that I need to consider while selecting a diode.
