UCC28070: UCC28070PWR max BW operating - Power factor correction not required

Hello,

I wanted to use UCC28070PWR mainly as boost converter with max Bandwidth possible.

I need to convert an existing PFC ckt with good PF to a "solid rock" voltage regulated o/p ( same voltage level ), in this case, it does not does not require power factor correction.

It needs to respond to load transients and avoid voltage dips caused by low BW.

Can you recommend what changes needs to be done?

Vin=180Vac-264Vac.

Vout = 380Vdc.

Po = 2kW

Hi Norman,

Thank you for the query on UCC28070.

You can use it for the application mentioned above. We have seen it being used by many customers as a DC-DC controller. However the voltage loop has to be redesigned to make it fast (depending on your system specifications) for load transient requirements. However we do not have any application note/design explaining this as UCC28070 was intended for PFC applications.
