Hi team,
My customer is considering to use this device with Iout= 300mA (typ.). And from the Iout-FSW characteristic in the data sheet and the webench simulation, it is calculated that the switching frequency at 300mA is about 220kHz.
Now the customer is trying to calculate the peak ripple current of the inductor by using this value, but in "8.2.2.2" in the datasheet, it was said that "580 kHz switching frequency is used" when calculating Ip-p, Ipeak, etc. Since the actual operation is about 220 kHz, I think that the ripple current condition will be stricter than the calculation at 580 kHz.
Could you tell us why it is described to calculate using 580 kHz?
Should they alway use FSW=580kHz for all the time?
Regards,
Ohashi
