BQ27427EVM: configuration and usage

We are evaluating the BQ27427 for our product and I am currently developing a firmware driver for it.

Using the technical reference manual (www.ti.com/.../sluucd5), it is not yet clear to me which
initialization steps are needed before fuel gauging is fully operational:

1. Besides setting the appropriate ChemID, are there other parameters that must be configured? Which ones are absolutely necessary?

2. I stumbled upon a quickstart guide for the xx426 (www.ti.com/.../sluubn3.pdf), is there such a guide for xx427 as well?
Information in xx426 guide doesn't match xx427 exactly, so it can not be relied upon in my case and involves a lot of guessing.

Hello Jure,

The bq27427 setup process is almost the same as bq27426, so you can use those documents. Let us know if you have any doubts.

Thanks for the confirmation.

The comment about a mismatch between the documents was an error on my side, the procedure described in xx426 documents can be applied to xx427 indeed. I mixed it with the "Achieving The Successful Learning Cycle" (www.ti.com/.../slua903.pdf) document, which would be very helpful, but unfortunately commands there do not match xx427 exactly.

P.S.: That document would be very helpful, because it does not assume the usage of BQSTUDIO :)
