BQ40Z50: SOC Flag Config A [TCClearV] function evaluation

Part Number: BQ40Z50

Hi team,

The customer wants to enable the SOC Flag Config A [TCClearV] function, that is, when the maximum cell voltage is less than the Clear Voltage Threshold, clear the [TC] flag; And they also enable Voltage Degradation process. For example, reduce the 200 mV charging voltage for 800 cycles. Here are two questions from customer:

1. Does the Clear Voltage Threshold will follow the voltage degradation changes?

2. If both [TCCLEANRSOC] and [TCCLEANRV] are enabled, whether one of the conditions is met will clear the [TC] flag?

BR

  • Hello Zhihao,

The TCClearV thresholds do not scale with the degradation settings. The TCClearRsoc will scale because a new 100% point will be set lower on the absolute values based on the chem ID. If you have both enabled whichever conditions are met first will clear TC.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
