UCC28C56EVM-066: Opto feedback

Hello Ti,

I see the evaluation board has placeholder for opto feedback components for setting Vout but no components mounted.

Is there a reason why it's not mentioned in datasheet?

Reason for my question is that I want more stable Vout. With only Aux feedback Vout varies 40-50% between full and no load.

We have a custom made transformer for 68V out.

    Terho,

    Many isolated converters used in automotive applications prefer not to use opto-coupler feedback. For this reason and since the UCC28C56EVM-066 is intended for automotive applications, we designed the converter without opto-coupler feedback. However, we also provided the component placeholders necessary for opto-coupler feedback, if a customer wants reconfigure the EVM this way. The data sheet is separate from the EVM User Guide and is targeting automotive equipment and so we do not mention the use of opto-couplers. Thanks for connecting through E2E.
