Hello Rakesh - I think this part will work for us but I have a question: What are the differences between the Inrush current IINRUSH used in the slew rate and CdVdt calculations and the current limit ILIM used in the RILIM calculation and the overcurrent protection current (IOCP) used in the RIOCP calculation?

The datasheet does not describe the relationship, if any, between these currents or why there are three of them.

Are you asking above questions for TPS25961?

TPS25961 does not have IOCP threshold.

No, I was referring to the TPS16412. I see now what INRUSH is but what is the difference between IOCP and ILIM? Can they be the same?

IOCP has to be greater than ILIM. This device has blanking timer feature.

. For load current greater than ILIM and less than IOCP device will start a timer and after timer is over if overcurrent is still there device will limit the current to the level of ILIM. 

More details in datasheet section 8.3.4 and 8.3.6.

Okay, but how much greater does IOCP have to be?

We are protecting downstream components from overcurrent, so we set the ILIM to protect them. It looks like IOCP is only in effect for the duration of the blanking timer but we need to know the minimum difference between ILIM and IOCP (n terms of % or a decimal factor) so we can ensure no damage to the downstream parts during the blanking interval.

you can keep some minimum 10% margin.
