Hello E2E Experts,
Good day.
I work on the subject „Development and characterization of a circuit topology for generating short LED light pulses“. The main focus of this work is the characterization of the time course of the switch-off edge of the optical signal, such that intensity variations of 60 dB can be detected if necessary.
The LEDs to be used should have wavelengths from 365nm to 1200nm so that the circuit can be used for different LED wavelengths. The LED should have an electrical power consumption of about 1W. The short fall time of the LEDs in relation to their optical output is particularly important. The LED should lose its optical output as quickly as possible, ideally by 60 dB. Fall times of around 5 to 10 ns would be ideal.
In the first step, various existing LED driver circuits, both integrated and discrete, are to be researched and evaluated against each other.
I would like to use your driver ICs for the tests in my bachelor thesis, as I have always had good experiences with them both privately and in the company. I hope you can suggest ICs or circuits from your range that meet the given requirements. I would also be happy about any additional information material such as application notes.
Regards,
CSC
