Hi,

I am using TPS55165-Q1 with Vin min 2.5V max 36V to get 5V fixed output. The IGN and IGN_PWRL connections attached.

Can I use this configuration (5V feedback to latch IGN_PWRL).

Can this configuration allows us to drive this circuit at 2.5V Vin to get 5V fixed output? (Vin < 3.7V for IGN pin)

May I know why the minimum input voltage can be low as 2.5V and can be high as 36V? What is the input source?

What is output current at 2.5Vin-5Vout?

Hi Bryce

The circuit must be operate at 3V because I am using schottky diode to avoid reverse voltage so the TPS55165 must operate when Vin is 2.5V. The output current shall be around 200mA - 250mA. The input source shall be a car battery.

Thanks for reply, from my understanding, the car battery voltage can vary a lot due to load dump, but will the system also need to operate with loading at 3Vin?

I will do the bench test to see if TPS55165 can work with your schematic.

The device can operate at 2.5Vin, 5Vo with 200-250mA after startup. The schematic is ok.
