BQ78PL116: Successfully Loaded Newer Chem_IDs Into BQWizard

Hello,

Currently l have loaded newer top level chemistry nodes, 2481 and 2986, into bqWizard ChemistryUpdater. I updated both cell descriptions and the known cells fields. I understand BQ78PL116 has been NRND'd, but the customer will not budge. I am asking for clarification on the complications for using these chem_ids. It was said this process wasn't possible due to the newer data formats of the chemistry files not being supported on older gauges. Can you explain?

Hello Derrick,

GASGAUGECHEM-SW page has the latest chemistry databases available for download. The data files are provided in 2 formats - for bqEVSW and for bqStudio.

This is what the other thread possibly refers to as newer data formats. I am not sure if bqWizard can use those.

If the chemID is already available in the bqWizard interface, then there should be no issue in using it.

I was able to successfully load both chemIDs into bqWizard. So l was confused about why this worked.

Hello Derrick,

That is good to hear. Customer should finish the learning cycle and check accuracy. I don't expect any issues but that is the best way to confirm that there are no issues.
