TPS22811: how to proper enable the controller from a microcontroller

Hi all.

I want to turn on/off the power to a servo.
The datasheet only talks about resistor dividers on the EN and /EN pins.

What is the proper way to turn the powerswitch on and off from a microcontroller pin?
And do I still need all the resistors?

Hi,

You can connect uc pin directly to EN /EN pins. You don't need resistors then. Just ensure that EN pin is not floating while device is having VIN supply. Resistors divider way is also a possible way where you don't need uc and use input supply.

Connect to both pins? And can I also do both? Resistor divider and uC pin?

It depends on your application. You can connect both to uc. You can also ground /EN pin, that will disable overvoltage protection feature. You can use both resistor divider and uc also.

How much max voltage servo can tolerate? Can supply voltage go beyond servo max rating?
