What is the difference between the MX and N and M suffix such as the below?

Hello, the MX devices are housed in a SOIC package where as the N devices are in a "PDIP" package.

Otherwise, electrical they appear equivalent.

I must have missed that, thanks for the clarification. Is the only difference between M and Mx the reel size?

You are welcome. MX is supplied in tape and reel, where as M is supplied in Tube. That would be the difference.
