TPS22902: Schematics Review

Part Number: TPS22902

Hi Team,

We are using the TPS22902YFPR Load switch part in our schematics. I had attached the schematic Image below, Kindly review the schematics and share your valuable feedback with us.

Thanks and Regards

  • Hi Teja,

    Some comments on your schematic:

    • Typically we recommend Cin>Cout but this really has more to do about the stability of your voltage rail. The input capacitance will hold up and stabilize the input rail during high current draw events such as turn on. Therefore, depending on if the supply has a sufficient power capability, input capacitance might not be needed. With QOD implemented, reverse current flow should not be an issue.
    • The ON pin should never be left floating since if the device is powered and the ON pin is floating, we cannot confirm if the device is ON or OFF, meaning the device could also be partially ON. Therefore we recommend a pull-down resistor from ON to GND.

    Best Regards,

    Elizabeth

  • Hi Elizabeth,

Thanks for your valuable feedback. Please find the attached image for the Updated Schematics. we had added the input capacitor which follows the Cin>Cout. Regarding the ON pin it is not left floating the Pull down resistor is present at the other end it was fine.

Please check the updated schematics and share the feedback

    Thanks and regards

  • Hi Desireddy,

Thank you for sharing the updated schematic.

The schematic looks good! No concerns from my end.

    Best Regards,

    Elizabeth
