Is it possible to use bq2057 or similar in a 3-S configuration?  Can the voltage to the batt pin be scaled down?

Any other options for an inexpensive linear charger for 3-S? 

I can't go to switching- the pass transistor is already installed and controlled by an analog current.  If a switching controller is the only option, I'll have to LPF the PWM to control an analog current.

Vin = 18V

    From the block diagram, it appears that you can use the bq2057W with a divider feedback to achieve charging a 3 cell pack.  You will probably need extra thermal managemetn to get rid of the extra heat.

    There has been no application work on this so you are basically on your own to make sure it works and there is no short comings and its is stable.
