gas gauging of primary (non-rechargeable) Lithium battery packs

would like to know if anyone has any experience in gas gauging primary Lithium (non-rechargeable) battery packs.

in the bqeasy software for bq20z95 you can update the chemistry to Li-MnO2, but i am wanting to do gas gauging of Li-SOCl2 and Li-SO2Cl2 (Lithium Thionyl Chloride and Lithium Sulfuryl Chloride)

the open circuit voltages of these cells are 3.6V and 3.9V respectively so the Li-MnO2 model won't be suitable (3.3V OCV). I obviously can't do a learning cycle that involves charging and discharging the pack to collect data, but can the bqeasy software collect enough data from a single discharge to accurately model the cell's behaviour?

Does TI have any gas gauging ICs for primary battery packs?

Does anyone else have any advice on how to achieve this? would ideally like the solution to be SMBus compatible.
