Hi team,

my customer has new spec that support 5V/2.4A,

can we just change the iLIM_HI to 2.5A resistor ?

is there other thing we need to concern?

Hi Fred,

Is the customer wanting to source or sink here? If they are sourcing, there should not be an issue. If sinking, what is the operating current and the max current?

source, just like regular sourcing but 5V/2.4A,

but I don't know TPS2544 can support sinking, you sure about that?

Yes, that should be fine for sourcing. I am not sure about sinking either. I would need to ask a team member. Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Hi Fred,

Yes you can support 2.4A in both. Refer to the image below from the datasheet. The customer would need to follow the truth table to set the mode desired.
