If we will not give the SBU pins to PD controller it will create any isssue? please confirm.

TUSB1044 will handle the SBU/AUX switching, why do you have SBU connected to the PD controller in the schematic? I want to make sure either the TUSB1044 or the PD handles the SBU/AUX switching, but not both.

If we can have the 0ohm resistor with No mount option then this is fine ?

Redriver have the I2C interface which is controller through PD controller so this switching is handled by the PD controller with the help to SW or is there any HW configuration for that

You can use 0-ohm on SBU1/2 to select SBU/AUX switching between TUSB1044 and PD controller.

For TUSB1044, SBU/AUX switching can use CTL0 and CTL1 pins as shown below when in GPIO mode,

1. CTL0 and FLIP we are using for the I2C communication between the Redriver and the PD controller, so how we will control this.

2. We want to use Type C with ALT mode functionality, so how we will use this ?

TUSB1044 I2C_EN needs to be pulled high to enable its I2C mode. In I2C mode, TUSB1044 is an I2C device with FLIP becomes SCL and CTL0 becomes SDA, controlled by the PD controller, assuming PD controller can provide I2C controller function .

USB Type C with Alt mode functionality is negotiated by the PD controller through CC1 and CC2.

Since you are using a Cypress PD controller, please contact Cypress on how to enable I2C controller function and USB Type C Alt Mode implementation.

So if we are using the I2C communication in TUSB1044 so we can not use the switching if AUX/SBU with redriver. so this need to be taken care by the PD controller only from SW side. Is my understanding correct  ?
