Hello team,
I'm considering 2p2s LED configuration.
And I would like to detect the LED short if any of one LED is shorted.
Just want to make sure. TPS92643-Q1 cannot detect 1 LED short in 2p2s configuration, correct?

Hirata

Hello Akihiro,
The TPS92643-Q1 has a simple "short" detection that only monitors the output of the converter and triggers the nFLT pin when that voltage is below 1.5V. This is a constant current buck and actually can regulate the current into a full short. It depends on the Vf of the LED diode your are using and what current setpoint you are operating at as to if you can use the nFLT pin to indicate a short or open. Both faults will trigger the nFLT pin.
