UCD90SEQ48EVM-560: UCD90SEQ48EVM-560

Part Number: UCD90SEQ48EVM-560

Hi,

We are considering UCD90SEQ48EVM-560 for our project. I have below question on same:

If the external voltages are provided to monitor pins, can the GUI provide the information of in what sequence the voltages were applied to different MON pins and timing details of same.

Let me know for more inputs.

Thanks,

Kiran. A

  • Hi

Unfortunately, GUI can not support this kind of debug analysis.

But if you share what you want to do, we can better support you.

  • Hi Yihe,

    Thanks for your response.

I have a requirement wherein we already have a power sequencer solution, we would like to test the performance of it. So, i was checking if the output from our solution can be connected to UCD90SEQ48EVM-560 and evaluate the timing performance.

Let me know for more inputs.

    Thanks,

    Kiran. A

  • Hi

    I try to understand here.

You want to connect the MONx of UCD90 to the output of the power supply controlled  by another power sequencer and let the UCD to check whether the output comes up in a right way

Or you want to connect the GPIO of UCD90 to the output ENABLE of the another power sequencer and let the UCD to check whether the EN is in the right order.

You can use Logic GPO function to track either the MON or GPI(configured from GPIO).

    8244.UCD90xxx Quick Guide.pptx

Please know that there is a processing delay

for MONx, it sample all channels every 400us

For the GPIO(configured as GPI), the sample rate is up to 500us

The logical GPO is processed at 100us

    Hope this helps

  • Hi Yihe,

I would like to do this "You want to connect the MONx of UCD90 to the output of the power supply controlled  by another power sequencer and let the UCD to check whether the output comes up in a right way".

    Thanks,

    Kiran. A

  • Hi Yihe,

Thanks for your response and sharing the document, we understood by using GPO function we could monitor the timing of our sequencer output with additional delay of UCD90.

Does the UCD90 Eval board allows us to monitor slew rate, I mean if our sequencer output has a "x" slew rate and we connect this to MON pin, can this be monitored using GPO pin functionality from GUI?

    Thanks,

    Kiran. A

  • Hi

No, it can not measure the slew rate.
