BQ34Z100-R2: Suggestion for Battery pack monitoring, Fuel gauging and balancing

Dear TI

I'm looking for a monitoring solution for a 3S1P 1850 battery pack.

DQ interface is a strict requirement.

bq34z950 seemed like the right choice since it had DQ interface, monitoring, balancing etc. Pretty much an all in one solution.

BQ40Z50-R2 was my next choice, but doesn't have DQ interface, perhaps it can be added on the IO's?

It seems like my solution will need to be BQ34Z100-R2 which unfortunately doesn't have protection and balancing.

Would you be able to recommend a companion IC for monitoring and balancing?

bq34z950 supports HDQ (higher speed DQ) and seems to be the best choice.

bq40z50 does not support DQ

bq34z950 seems to have disappeared on your website, distributors etc pretty much overnight.

Any idea why or whats going on?

Hi Frank,

The BQ34z950 has been removed from our website to discourage new orders due to supply conditions. I would recommend using one of the configurations mentioned by Shirish for optimal performance, cost and availability.
