There are two equations that describe the FOD of the bq500511A. What if we put the equations together to better understand FOD_CAL?
FOD_threshold = FOD_THR × 400
FOD_correction = –1000 + FOD_CAL× 800

Hello
The two resistors, R-FOD_threshold and R-FOD_correction are independent values.
FOD_THR is a flat threshold across the load range, will set fault trip point.
FOD_correction will change the shape of the loss curve by changing the internal calculation for conversion, not necessarily flat.
