BQ7718: Does BQ7718 support random connection?

Hi team,

Does BQ7718 support random connection? I notice the abs voltage for each pin is 30V, from this aspect, this device can support that, but considering the secondary protection usually not a recoverable protection, so I am confused from this aspect, this cannot support random connection.

Hello Jayden,

The OUT pin can trigger if connected randomly, which could trigger the FUSE if placed before the cells are all fully connected. If the cells are connected in a time less than the OVP delay, then it may be okay.
