BQ27Z746: Shutdown power consumption

Hi Team,

Will grounding the ENAB pin prevent the device from entering shutdown mode normally? The customer reported that the power consumption in shutdown mode is 12uA is observed via a multimeter . We checked the conditions to enter shutdown mode, but everything look good. Could you pls help？

The device won't enter shutdown mode if ENAB is pulled low permanently. See TRM, https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sluuca6/sluuca6.pdf, 6.6 SHUTDOWN Mode:

Is it recommended that customers float the ENAB pin or connect it to GPIO？

For full functionality, ENAB should be GPIO controlled.

When the device is in ship mode. The client connects an adapter and cannot exit ship mode. why is that? In addition, if the device enters the ship mode through the command, must it exit the ship mode through the command. That is to say, the same conditions must be used to exit ship mode?

Did you set IWAKE_EXIT to 1? If so, the gauge will exit ship mode if it detects a current that exceeds the IWAKE threshold.

If SHIPM = 1, then you'll have to send the ShipmodeDisable() command to exit ship mode. It will not wake up if the voltage exceeds the ship mode voltage threshold.
